Control.com is Heading to ProMat in Chicago!
Control.com will begin the 2025 trade show season at ProMat in Chicago with industry leaders such as Agility Robotics, Schneider, NORD Drivesystems, and many more!
Trade shows are the best place to see equipment live and up close, chat with engineering vendors, and explore the wide range of solutions options for your next project or design. The engineering and sales team from Control.com is excited to attend our first trade show of the 2025 season with a trip to ProMat at McCormick Place in Chicago, upcoming on March 17-20.
ProMat is showcased as the manufacturing and supply chain’s premier event, put on by MHI material handling, logistics, and supply chain association. Check out a few of the exciting exhibitor booths at ProMat!
KUKA
A legend in the industrial robotic space, KUKA will display applications of both mobile and collaborative robotic devices that aid the supply chain and logistics sides of operations.

KMP AMR
The new KMP 3000P mobile robot will be seen transporting heavy payloads to and from a KR Quantec heavy-duty robot.
KBR iisy Cobot
An interactive experience (always my personal favorite) involves coordinating a cobot and 600P AMR to deliver a selected product to a show visitor. Any exhibitor that offers an interactive experience is a must-see booth!
Nord Drivesystems
Logistics and supply chains are synonymous with motion. Moving, transporting, picking, packaging–Nord supplies the world with motion devices, including many motors and drive units that will be on display.

IE5+ Synchronous Motors
Motors consume a lot of energy, but the new IE5+ motors use permanent magnets to increase efficiency and lower operational costs.
NORDAC VFDs
Just as important as the motors are the drive systems that power those motors. Visitors can check out the robust VFDs that mount right to the motors, offering a wide range of communication and built-in PLC logic functionality to speed the decentralization process.
FANUC
No logistics show would be complete without visiting the FANUC booth and witnessing the power of massive robots and unique cobots, and this time, some mobile platforms join the mix!

Mobile Order Fulfillment
The combination of a CRX cobot and an AMR by OTTO Motors will assemble parts kits while strategically using the path to load, unload, and charge the batteries for maximum uptime.
Vertical Pick-and-Place
Storage and retrieval systems focus more on the vertical axis than the horizontal. In this demonstration, the linear motion of CNC controls is combined with the articulated reach of a cobot fitted with 3D vision, all working together to fulfill orders.
Ifm
Field devices are the very first point of contact between the controls and the environment. Input and output devices will be the central focus of Ifm’s booth.

User-Friendly HMIs
Human-machine interfaces are a unique, ultra-flexible combination of both inputs and outputs for the operators. Clear, intuitive user interfaces are absolutely critical for success.
Obstacle Detection System
Cameras are a tricky form of input because of the massive amount of data and processing requirements. Still, Ifm will demonstrate its use in detecting obstacles for mobile applications and locating pallets for accurate stacking/de-stacking operations.
Universal Robots (UR)
Robots and people working side-by-side are a constant source of innovation for automated industries. UR’s drive for more collaborative robot technology aims to increase safety and efficiency while empowering humans to accomplish more exciting tasks.

MC600 Mobile/Collaborative Bot
Combining the power of rolling motion by Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) with the power of articulation through a UR robot can greatly simplify order fulfillment and automated handling.
AI Piece Picking
Artificial intelligence is the name of the game in today’s tech. It is heavily used in vision systems to create a more reliable picking experience and automate difficult tasks, as demonstrated in the booth exhibit by partner RightHand Robotics.
