Honeywell Transforms HUG Conference Into a Global Virtual Event
Honeywell postpones its annual HUG conference until 2021 and introduces an inventive virtual event to connect with customers during COVID-19.
Using an outcomes-based consulting approach the company tackle problems for their customers to help improve process design, process history and analytics, operations excellence, production management, and enterprise collaboration.
Advancing software solutions allows Honeywell's customers to make faster and smarter decisions to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Due to health concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) have transformed their annual Honeywell Users Group (HUG) conference into a global virtual event.

HUG Conferences Driving Innovation
Previous HUG conferences hosted by HPS were designed for customers to enable networking, to encourage sharing of best practices, knowledge of new technologies, project implementations and industry trends.
The events usually feature technology and business application sessions, access to Honeywell and industry experts and offer a forum for exchanging ideas with other Honeywell users.
In 2019, President of HPS, John Rudolph, announced two key solutions enabling Honeywell’s industrial customers to streamline and advance digital transformation initiatives. John first introduced a software solution, Honeywell Forge, for Industrial.
This solution supports intelligent business and operations decision-making by providing actionable recommendations, along with potential economic impact.
By using an asset and comprehensive, role-based analytics, Honeywell enables enterprise-wide visibility and aids overall performance of processes, assets, people, and safety.
The second solution was the Experion PKS Highly Integrated Virtual Environment (HIVE). The Experion PKS HIVE simplifies control system design, implementation, and lifecycle management by decoupling I/O module assignments and control strategies from specific controllers, and leveraging IT capabilities in existing data centers.
The solution also helps monitor aspects of employee performance to provide an overview of the effects on the overall process and business performance.
Honeywell’s Global Virtual Event
This year, HPS has created the "Honeywell Virtual Technology Experience" in place of their HUG conference to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and keep their customers and staff safe.
As COVID-19 continues to spread, more companies are turning to virtual conferences such as this one.
The free event will be held between June 22-25, 2020, and registration opened on May 1st.
What Can Attendees Expect from the Virtual Event?
Content from the virtual experience can be accessed live or on-demand. Virtual attendees can:
- Join live-streamed speaker sessions
- View technology demonstrations and end-user presentations
- Hear from industry experts, then ask questions in real-time
- See the latest Honeywell product introductions
- Interact and chat with speakers, and Honeywell leadership
- Find out what’s next and what it means for their business
This transformative intervention by Honeywell attests to their continuous endeavor to support customer learning and development during the COVID-19 pandemic, where virtual learning and knowledge sharing are quite simply the most efficient means to connect to their community.
The keynotes, presentations, and workshops that will be hosted during the event will keep their customers well informed during these challenging times.
