GE Mark VI/VIe HMI and Software Questions

You're talking about the hardware dongle enforcing the product license for ControlST; logically, you'd order it from GE. Granted finding the right place can be tricky; fortunately the google search for "GE ControlST License" came up with the right link on the first result. Minor miracle, that.

The workflow itself <i>is</i> a little uglier than I'd like, because the hardware dongles changed for ControlST V5 and later. At least now there is only one dongle needed for ControlST and CIMPLICITY, plus GE's Proficy products.

I'm in the similar situation like you in this case. I was in a Mark VI training more than 15 years ago and am needing to asist a client that uses Mark VIe. I would like to review my training previous to assist him, but I don't have a simulator or something like this in order to review this control system previously. Could you share with me your VMWare images just for personal training uses? I will appreciate a lot your support.

SISO Engineering has the contacts with GE to get this software for folks. Note: You need to be a recognized Mark VIe user/utility

Send them an email @ [email protected]. They can walk you through how to get a license for all that software.

I am an electrical engineer, and I am quite new to turbine controls, particularly in GE Mark VIe software. I have a problem with the ToolboxST GE software and the HMI. This does not allow me to view the variable data in the HMI (Cimplicity). I have collected several manuals related to the various system features, and I have reviewed several issues that are already on this website about the system. I have managed to resolve the system failure. I appreciate the technical assistance with the steps to solve the problem. This fault occurred after a download to the UCES processors (R, S, and T).

Can you be more specific on the error? There could be many issues with controllers or HMIs. If you provide detail on the issues, we can better help you.

On our site, Cimplicity is used as HMI scada for Mark VIe system
The problem is that the alarms are not automatically refreshed and the reset button needs to be pressed to display the new alarms.
I know it may be a basic question, but since I have just started learning this system, I would appreciate your help.
