New Mark VI PANEL not in control state
cheedee, As I wrote above, what you're asking is very difficult to do via a World Wide Web forum (or email or even remote PC access). There are Help screens for changing/setting the I/P address of UCVx cards. If I recall correctly there are multiple ways to do this, including via the FLASH...

Mark 5 fuel leak
Also, the false start drains do not go to the L.O. reservoir--they usually go to the gas turbine drains tank, which is underground. It is difficult to imagine a way for anything in the gas turbine drains tank to get up into the L.O. reservoir. Things like compartment drains and the false start...

Mark 5 fuel leak
Bobby, Thank you for getting back to us with some answers. The P&IDs really hold the information you need, but I'll try to summarize here. But, first, I have a question: Did the Mark VI annunciate an alarm "L.O. LEVEL HIGH"? (or something to that effect) Most sites have some diesel storage...

Mark 5 fuel leak
Bobby, One problem solved--it's a GE-design Frame5 heavy duty gas turbine. With a Mark VI Speedtronic turbine control system. Many people believe that all Frame 5s are like all other Frame 5s, and that's just not true. Yes, they all suck and squeeze and burn and blow, but they do so with very...

Totalizer vs flow meter
A flowmeter measures the instantaneous flow--in engineering units such as litres-per-hour, or kg-per-minute. A totalizer calculates the total flow--in engineering units such as litres or kg. Some totalizers only count in a certain period, such as one day. Others just keep counting and counting...

I corrected my hasty reply mistakes in the response above.... SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION!!! A Frame 5 can be controlled by a Mark V (the Frame series uses the "Arabic" numerals, and the Mark* turbine controls use the Roman numerals).

Mark 5 fuel leak
Bobby, Why do you suspect the turbine control system? (Could it be you are confusing a Mark V and a GE-design Frame 5 heavy duty gas turbine (which might be controlled by a Mark V)?) Does the turbine have a diesel starting means and is there a diesel fuel tank directly under the diesel, and...

Spark Plug Mounting
If the unit has DLN-I combustors, there is DEFINITELY a depth setting to prevent damaging the ignitors (spark plugs). And it doesn't matter which cans the ignitors or spark plugs are mounted in--there just has to be two of them, in case one doesn't work. Sorry, but I can't recall which drawing...

New Mark VI PANEL not in control state
cheedee, Speaking from painful experience if you have an .m6b from a site/Mark VI other than the Mark VI panel you are working on and the .m6b file has different cards than the Mark VI panel and the version of Toolbox you have doesn't have firmware files to match the versions of cards in the...

EEPROM DOWN T1 T IOCFG EEPROM DOWN T1 S IOCFG EEPROM DOWN T1 R IOCFG The above presumes t1 is the unit name; if t1 is not the unit name for the Mark V being downloaded to you'll have to open CONFIG.DAT to determine the Mark V's unit name. [I always download to <T> first, then <S> then <R>...

GR Frame 9e Compressor Efficiency Become Little Less as Compare to Another Operational Units
One more thing, Irfan ahmed qureshi, The Subject of the thread is about compressor efficiency decline, yet you haven't provided any information on why it's thought the compressor efficiency has declined. On a typical GE-design Frame 9E heavy duty gas turbine with conventional combustors (and we...

Irfan ahmed qureshi, I realize English is not your native language, so part of the issue with your posts in this thread is probably related to our misunderstanding. If you will take the time to answer the following questions, we may be able to help. BUT, I caution you NOT to make any...

Amen, Curious_One. Out near Proxima Centauri. It would be great to hear what GE says about this problem. But we'll never know. This is most likely one of those threads where the original poster is looking for confirmation of HIS theory of the problem, so the only information being shared is...

Fluctuating (Hunting) of SRV valve at MS6001 B Gas Turbine Power Plant With Triconex Controller
I wanted to add one more thing about turbine control upgrades--no matter the control system used. If a 20 or 25 year-old turbine is being upgraded to a new Mark*, well, unless the unit has been well maintained and serviced and device calibration verifications have been done regularly and there...

How to set threshold for my flame sensor?
A couple of thoughts. One, are you building a flame sensor or a flame detector? By flame sensor I am referring to something that senses a flame--such as from a fire burning hydrocarbons in a compartment where there shouldn't be any leaking hydrocarbons or fire? Or are you building a flame...
