Any one knows how to import a project that was developed with an older version of Control Builder M version 3.2 to Control Builder M version 5.0?

This is not a simple question of "importing" a PLC application from one version of Control Builder to the next.

Upgrading from System Version 3 to SV5.1 requires the upgrade of both the PLC control logic AND the related 800xA HMI software

There are comprehensive upgrade instructions in the ABB documentation. These instructions are not for beginners and you will require some experience in installing and configuring an 800xA system. I strongly advise you to get some expert help.

But i disagree with Rob that it will be complicated, i worked on ABB System. Its not that tough to upgrade.

Yes, there are some pre-requisites which you need to follow for successful upgrade to System Version 5.0 to above.

Its a complete install of SV5, a bunch of import and export procedures, 2 or 3 steps where the cold retain files can be lost forever, followed by another upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1 (because you cant go straight to version 5.1 from any previous release). All this is described in full detail in about 35 pages of small text in the upgrade manual.

Yes, its not too hard if you've done the training courses and installed a couple of 800xA systems before. If you are new to ABB I disagree that this is easy.
