Bailey DCS Systems

I work for TVA and we have a Bailey DCS that I am having trouble getting replacement modules for. Does anyone know where I can get some DIO 400 modules at???

Obviously, the first place to go is to ABB, which owns Bailey now and supports the Bailey DCSes. If they can't help you (and I think they probably can) start looking at eBay and other used parts brokers. There are several that advertise in the trade magazines like "Control."

And when you're finally tired of that, take a look at what it would cost to upgrade your DCS.

Thank you, Walt
I could have gotten some modules from ABB, but it was going to take two weeks to get a good module. My engineer found one at another TVA plant that only had one cabinet they used for soot blowing. We are currently in the process of upgrading our controls now to Westinghouse, Ovation. This is planned over the next three years. We have two 1300 MW units and the decontic controls have been replaced on one unit last year with the rest being phased in. I'll send you an email personally telling you more, so I won't take up too much space here.

It's nice to find a place where other individuals think like myself. When I leave work I usually don't talk about it to anyone, because most of the problems are complex and nobody else really comprehends. I will be back here,
