BARRIER FOR SPEED PROBE

Dear All,

I am using a speed probe type magnetic pick up in hazardous area (Zone 2 - group IIB ) which is connected to a ZB-11 zener barrier and the goes to MPU of a GII over speed protection. Because of blow out of zener barrier in analog inputs and not in speed probes we are going to change ZB-11 to a galvanic barrier. My question is what type of galvanic barrier i have to use and what is specification of that galvanic barrier till speed sensing be ok. I going to buy but i want to be sure that galvanic barrier works. Please propose from brand P+F if anybody knows what I have to choose.

For your application, consider Phoenix Contact's MACX MCR-EX series galvanic isolators. Ensure it meets the voltage and current specs for your speed probe and is certified for Zone 2, Group IIB. Check with a distributor for compatibility.
