I have just loaded Cimplicity Machine Edition Demo on to my PC. Unless I missed the obivious there doen't seem to be drivers to Siemens S7-300 PLC's. It will talk to Omron and Allen Bradley Etc. But not Siemens.

Can any one tell me how I connect a S7-315 to Cimplicity via the MPI interface (Siemens Serial Link)?

I have never worked with any Siemens PLC's before, however I am quite familiar with GE Machine Edition (CME) Software. If you are using the View component of CME (ie the OI component) there is a PLC access driver called Siemens MPI. I am using CME version 2.6 with Service Pack 2.

I cannot vouch for this particular driver, but most of the other ones work pretty well.
