Hi.
On top of my to do list is the development of a Device Type Manager for our field devices. I searched the internet two days for informations about the topic. But everywere I read the same sketchy things. Something like:
- relation betwenn FDT frame app and DTM is similar to Windows app and
a printer driver
- DTM employs MS Win COM technology
- DTM employs Active X technology for the GUI
- XML is used for communication between FDT and DTM
Has someone information about the DTM development from scratch?
Or has someone used librarays like dtmManager from M&M Software, DTMstudion from CodeWrights or isDTMcreator from ifak system and can give some tips which one is the best/easy to use/has most features library?
