HMI to Momentum Ethernet comms errors

We are using Cimplicity HMI by Ge Fanuc to communicate with various PLCs using Modicon TCP/IP. Originally the PLCs were accessed through
a Modbus Plus to Ethernet bridge. Now we have put Ethernet cards directly in the PLCs so each has its own IP address.

The majority of PLCs are Quantums and they're working fine. However one is a Momentum 171CCC96020 (firmware M1IIV207.BIN) and this
is causing problems. We appear to be reading data ok from it but not writing. Also we're getting an error message every 10 seconds
saying "Send error 10054 to network address x.x.x.x" where x.x.x.x
is the IP address of the PLC.

I would be grateful if you have any suggestions as to why this is happening with the Momentum PLC and what can be done to stop it.

Are you sure this isn't simply an address error? It looks like you might be trying to write to an >input< address (which are, or course, "read only").

No we had wondered about that but the 10054 is not a PLC address bu actually a Winsock error number.

We've been in touch with Modicon who have suggested it is an issue with the firmware version in the PLC.
