Modbus for pH measurement and control.

Hi Forum.
I have a project of incorporating modbus protocol into automating fish farming by detecting the pH level of the pound and ensuring suitable pH level is maintained for optimum yield.

I am new to the modbus protocol, and need the guidance, advice and support from members of this forum.

Hello and welcome to the Control.com forums.

We are happy to help answer specific questions you may have about Modbus or help you resolve issues you encounter while trying to complete your project.

But first, I recommend you read up on Modbus. Here are some recommended resources (I suggest reading them in the order listed):

Get an industrial-grade PH sensor with Modbus RS485 output. You can consider this: https://www.dfrobot.com/product-283..._aQjMhbUc5jOS1ivkBKNONj9U3JOungTmx6_BDtu_0uOu
Interface the sensor with a controller. Like a PLC or Microcontroller.
