taking data from quantum plc modbus tcp in dh+ net

Sir,

we have dh+ network of ab plc 5/60 standard. recently we have installed Quantum DCS with Modbus tcp/ip . we would like to bring its data on dh+ bus in the main administrative building located at 1 km away and show it on PC with Rs view 32 HMI. please tell us how to go for it in the simple and cheapest way.

You can do this easily with OPC. All you need is OPC Data Manager to connect both systems together.

You might also need an OPC Server for each protocol as well. If you don't have them, download them from here for free:

GridConnect / FactoryComm has the PKV6000 Modbus TCP to Data Highway Plus gateway. Sounds like a perfect fit. Also much easier than trying to maintain a PC with an OPC bridge.

Fieldserver also has an Ethernet to DH+ Gateway, but they don't specify that it's Modbus/TCP.

DataLink Technologies has the GW1000-MODTCP Modbus/TCP to DH+ gateway.

I'd have sworn SST / Woodhead / Brad / Molex had one, but I can only find the Ethernet to Profibus, not DH+.

I've never tried any of these products.
