Is it mandatory to use different port for each slave in single master, multiple slave setup in modbus TCP communication ?
If yes, can you give me an example explaining it ? Thanks a lot !!!

No, it is not mandatory, nor is that even common. Most often, all devices use TCP port 502, which is the default Modbus/TCP port.

 

You can use the same port for the slaves. But all slaves should have unique address.
