The CKR-280 Dual Belt Axis
Bosch Rexroth’s new CKR-280 compact module comes in a dual carriage system that can handle the movement of two masses, each weighing up to 385 kg. This independent driving within the same linear frame offers flexibility in motion control, with synchronized or separate motion being practical for advanced single- and multi-axis handling applications. When it comes to torque, the innovative system supports drive torque of up to 250 Nm, providing the needed power to handle high payloads in demanding automation tasks.
Boasting high speed and precision, the CKR-280 comes with accelerations of up to 5 g and travel speeds of 5 m/s. This enables faster cycle times while maintaining precise control, with a repeatability rating of ± 0.05 mm.
For added convenience and flexibility in system integration, the new axis is available in lengths of up to 5.5 m, which can be customized to meet different needs through Bosch Rexroth's online configurator. For single- and multi-axis systems, the CKR-280 will be added to the company's e-tool chain post-launch, enabling seamless integration of the axis into a range of automated systems using digital tools.

Duel Belt Axis Applications
With the expansion of Bosch Rexroth's CKR compact module series to include the dual belt axis, the challenge of saving installation space in industrial settings with a compact footprint is addressed. Combining two axes into a single, compact unit accelerates project completion while minimizing costs, offering flexible solutions for handling high payloads dynamically to meet modern industrial demands.
The new dual carriage in one axis is particularly useful in battery manufacturing for handling heavy components, as it enables simultaneous loading and unloading of parts, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing production efficiency. In machine tool automation, the CKR-280 can be utilized in CNC and metal cutting operations, where one carriage is used to load a machining part and the other to unload the finished component. This dual carriage design allows for efficient operation switching, enhancing flexibility and productivity in various industries.
