Fuji Electric HMIs Feature Wide Screens and Enhanced Connectivity
Fuji Electric’s TS4000 series of programmable operation displays features high-definition wide screens and robust networking capabilities to support smart production and remote monitoring.
On today’s factory floors, data is the currency of productivity. Operators track everything from machine utilization to power consumption, using those metrics to cut downtime, save energy, and keep production stable. As equipment becomes more sophisticated, so does the amount of data that needs to be displayed and managed in real time.
To meet these modern demands, Fuji Electric has introduced the TS4000 series of programmable operation displays, designed with high-definition wide screens and upgraded communication features. These units are built to show more information at once, connect to more devices, and make production monitoring easier both on-site and remotely.

Wide Screens Display More Data
Programmable operation displays (essentially touchscreen panels mounted on machine tools and processing equipment) act as the interface between operators and the control system. They pull information from PLCs, inverters, and sensors, then present it in a format that helps workers catch problems before they escalate.
Traditionally, many of these panels used square 10.4-inch monitors. With rising data density, operators have been asking for displays that can fit more values, charts, and alarms without forcing constant screen switching. Fuji Electric’s new TS4000 series of programmable operation displays responds to these demands with four widescreen sizes: 7-inch, 10.1-inch, 12.1-inch, and 15.6-inch.
The impact is clear in the midrange model: according to Fuji Electric, a 12.1-inch widescreen can present roughly three times the information of a 10.4-inch square screen. That extra visibility translates into fewer missed details and faster decision-making for operators.

Smarter Networking and Remote Access
Beyond screen size, the TS4000 series introduces stronger communication capabilities. Each unit can now support simultaneous access by up to 10 external devices, such as tablets or smartphones, allowing supervisors to check equipment status without being directly at the machine.
For factories rolling out remote operation strategies, the displays are also VPN-compatible, giving users a secure, encrypted channel to access equipment data from outside the plant network. This enables safer integration of remote maintenance and monitoring, a feature in growing demand as companies push for leaner staffing models and faster response times.
Where Operators Will Use Them
The TS4000 series is targeted at environments where every second of uptime counts. On a CNC machine tool, the display could show spindle speed, coolant temperature, and cutting loads side by side, helping machinists spot deviations quickly. In process industries, the wide screens allow multiple pressure and flow charts to be compared in real time.
The remote access functions also open up new possibilities. A line supervisor carrying a tablet can review production KPIs while moving between workstations. Maintenance staff can receive alerts on their phones, check the data, and decide whether to intervene, without walking back to a fixed HMI station.

Data on Display
The four models in the series are designed to cover different installation needs:
- TS4070i (7-inch): 198.8 × 141.8 × 38 mm
- TS4100i (10.10-inch): 263.8 × 191.8 × 38 mm
- TS4120i (12.1-inch): 303.8 × 223.8 × 48 mm
- TS4150i (15.6-inch): 402.8 × 256.8 × 48 mm
All models are built for panel mounting, with cutouts scaled to fit their respective dimensions.
Monitoring Modern Operations
While the TS4000 series isn’t intended as a revolutionary product, it reflects the ongoing evolution of operator interfaces. More data, more connectivity, and more remote access are the defining trends shaping factory HMIs. By giving engineers wider screens and secure networking, Fuji Electric is making it easier to manage complex production environments without overwhelming operators.
For production teams, the TS4000 aims to deliver fewer blind spots on the shop floor, faster access to critical information, and a smoother path to stable, energy-efficient operations.
