CAUTION: Hope you know what you are doing and doesn't create any damage to the men and machine. Also you should have access rights to make the modifications. Mostly Admin user and its password. Also you need modify Data / Design password. Then once you are in your interested task list on the...

Mark VI Trend Values
It can be from any site / HMI, but some times it will ask you to point to the TCW File. If you dont have the TCW File, still you can cancel and continue. It looks for TCW to load other parameters associated with the variables in CSV like 2nd language, Format Spec etc.,

If you use "Trender for HMI" instead of the Trender from your start menu, then from File menu > open > File name there is an option to choose CSV.

Modbus TCP cable
Correction. Baud rate is only for Modbus serial not for Modbus TCP/IP.

Modbus TCP cable
Do expect signal attenuation when the distance beyond 80 meter (again vendor specific) Would prefer to have fiber converter if it exceeds more than 50 Meters. Else you have compromise on the baurd rate. Slower will work relatively better for longer distance. Wonder why still modbus which is...

VFD or SOFT STARTER
Would prefer vector control over VFD which will provide huge energy saving over the other two, even though the capital cost is slightly higher by 15 to 20% when compared to VFD. With proper tuning you can reduce huge cost of maintenance. Strongly prefer to add line filters for VFD / Vector...

Custom Automation Product Development for various Industries
Just a decade ago it was considered as a saturated market & so called leaders struggled to survive. See the acquisitions history of Emerson. Even Google & Microsoft wanted to try that market and never came to public. Then all of a sudden open source hardware came in like Arduino & Raspberry...

BL4525 - outboard BLDC with exposed PCB ESC - vulnerability to moisture and dirt ingression
Will prefer IP67 ratted motor. Your motor has vent holes through which Water will go and can damage the coils permanently. For Electronics, to certain extent conformal coatings will help, but you need to properly house it and protect them from dirt, grim & water with adequate heat sinks. Also...

You may try reaching out these email IDs.

Now they are not providing physical dongles. Only soft keys they are preferring. If you insist they will ship a hard dongle. I'm not sure what colour dongle they are give now. For V4 doesn't work with V7...

Newer versions of CIMPLICITY missing EGD protocol
By the way, who is doing this upgrade ? Is it by GE or BH/NEXUS/CSS ? The newer version of cimplicity if provided by GE then it runs in Advanced Viewer only mode i.e, it does't use project any more. If that is the case, then it may not have EGD module licensed. You may verify it in your license...

Intermittent PLC comms issue
Its proven there are algorithms to detect them. There are several white papers from every chip manufacturer (Intel, Altera, Xilinx, toshiba, hitachi, even PLCs and DCS vendors) I have been researching on this issue for last 2 decades, I have detailed report from French space agency (which can't...

Intermittent PLC comms issue
Some manufacturers do have watchdogs implemented to detect such memory corruption based on check sum & trigger a reboot of the CPU – which is their designed recovery mechanism. At that time, you will lose communication with the PLC.

Intermittent PLC comms issue
The current generation electronics are very sophisticated, and they use multiple latest technologies to work together. One such thing is very thin silicon wafer (4 nano meter is currently in use) so that the manufacturer can cram more and more transistors & it provides higher power efficiency...

Parralled generators to grid, one of them becomes more capacitive
Play with your excitation. You need to slowly reduce the excitation - provided the equipment has those controls. Usually smaller machines may not have such user adjustable controls.

GE ControlST Toolbox v7.0
I think you are looking for Classic (Legacy) Toolbox [NOT ToolboxST]. As per one of the GE Field person currently ToolboxST version 8.0 is under development & there is no other higher version. Also I have been told, if raise a support ticket with GE / BH their tech support team is providing you...

Synchronizing the VSDs
I think ESP here mean electrical submersible pumping - am I right ? If your Drive (VFD / VSD) is designed / ratted for parallel operation then its possible. More than 90% of the low cost drives don't support this feature in the Market. Where as expensive ones support them. You may have to use...
