ASCII Table Infographic
A high-resolution version of the ASCII table for converting text and special characters into equivalent hex and decimal formats.
The American Standardized Code for Information Interchange, or ASCII, was developed to handle the large quantity of peripheral devices that were meant to share text and other decidedly non-numerical data across networks in the computer age.
The ASCII table is an arrangement of letters, numbers, and special characters that relate each one to its equivalent binary and hexadecimal formats. This is common in many programming applications, including PLCs, for the conversion of text and strings into equivalent 8-bit integers (short integers, shorts, or simply SINTs).
Use this table any time you need a high-resolution index of all ASCII characters in the equivalent Binary, Hex, and Decimal formats.
